Day 1

Panel session

Welcome, ice breaker and brief introductions from participants 

Q and A panel session with mentors. Questions will consist of pre-prepared questions as well as questions submitted during the session by participants via Zoom. Focus on the careers, challenges etc of the mentors.

Day 2

Small group mentoring

Focus of session is on career and leadership. Participants split into groups of 5-6 with a mentor.

Scope to have a broader discussion first before splitting off into smaller groups. For example, each mentor could share a ‘what I wish I had known’ when they were earlier in their career (or similar other discussion) (TBD).

Day 3

External speaker

External speaker – Sophie Hampel. Focus still TBC, but aim is for session to discuss how to handle the challenges presented by the pandemic, including how to engage in virtual meetings, build a presence in your job and foster broader networks.

Day 4

Small group mentoring

Participants split into groups of 5-6 with a mentor.

Discussion is around the ‘challenge’ that each participant has been requested to submit as part of their retreat application. Both mentors and peers to provide advice

Day 5

External speaker

External speaker – Joanna Ferrari. Aiming to end the week with empowering and motivational messaging for participants

Scope to reflect on the week over a casual drink at the end of the session
