Natasha Cassidy is currently acting as Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department of the Reserve Bank of Australia. Between 2016-2020 she was head of the team responsible for the forecasting and analysis of prices, wages and the labour market. In recent years, she has authored a number of RBA papers on low wages growth and spare capacity in the labour market. Natasha has served in a number of roles in the RBA’s Economic Analysis Department, covering areas such as business investment, trade, commodity prices, housing and financial conditions, and has also worked in the Reserve Bank’s Domestic and International Markets Departments. Natasha is chair of the RBA Gender Equity Employee Resource Group and is an Ambassador for the RBA’s public education program. Natasha holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Sydney.
