The Workforce Australia Policy and Analytics Branch within the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations is looking for Economists at the APS4 to 6 and EL1 levels ($73,800 to $124,500 plus 15.4% super).
Workforce Australia is Australia’s suite of employment support programs. Workforce Australia is currently assisting over 650,000 Australian job seekers to find and maintain employment. Workforce Australia brings with it a range of interesting economic challenges, and the roles reflect this diversity.
The branch has sections focused on applied microeconomic policy analysis, econometric modelling, labour economics, microsimulation modelling, regulatory economics and market design, forecasting, and behavioural economics.
In return, we can offer competitive remuneration, a highly flexible and inclusive working environment, with generous terms and conditions. We offer the opportunity to work and learn from a range of highly experienced economists across varying disciplines, and the ability to move between areas of interest within the branch.
