WEN: Coffee Meet-up (Victoria Branch)

Date

From: Tuesday September 23, 2025, 7:45 am

To: Tuesday September 23, 2025, 9:00 am

The Women in Economics Network in Victoria is excited to extend a warm invitation to our monthly coffee meet-up. This is a chance for members to catch up informally over a cup of coffee and meet fellow friends and economists, including our September guest economist, Dr Meg Elkins.

Dr Meg Elkins is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at RMIT University, specialising in behavioural and applied economics with research interests in societal and cultural economics. Her work focuses on supporting sustainable livelihoods for marginalised communities by applying behavioural insights to societal issues. She has collaborated with organisations including the City of Melbourne and The Busking Project, and serves as an expert consultant for the UK Behavioural Insights Unit. An award-winning educator and Council member of the Economics Society of Australia (Victoria Branch), she is a member of RMIT's Behavioural Business Lab and Societal Economics research group. She regularly provides economic commentary across major media platforms including ABC News, The Age, and ABC Radio National.

All members are welcome. Feel free to extend this invite to friends and colleagues.
