How’s Australia faring? A discussion on economic mobility and inequality

Guest speaker Danielle Wood,

Chair of the Productivity Commission and former CEO of Grattan Institute.

Danielle was a founding member of the Women in Economics Network, and was recently named the overall winner of the Australian Financial Review Women in Leadership Awards for her contributions to economic policy.

Danielle will share insights from recent Productivity Commission work on economic mobility and inequality, which looks at whether Australia really is a place where talent and hard work matter more than the circumstances of an individual’s birth in determining their lifetime income and wealth.
