SPECIAL INVITATION: Women in Economics Network Event

The Women in Economics Network (WEN) invite you to a lunchtime event with special guest speakers, Alison LLoydd-Wright, Lois Boswell and Tammie Pribanic. They will take part in a panel discussion, touching on their experiences working in public policy and providing insights as female leaders in the public service.

About the speakers

Alison Lloydd-Wright
Alison is the Executive Director for Population Strategy at the Department of Premier and Cabinet, a role which utilises her experience across both economic and social development portfolios and in delivering policy reform and collaborative, whole of government projects. Previously the Executive Director of Regions SA, Alison is passionate about supporting South Australia to punch above its weight.

Lois Boswell
Lois is currently the Deputy Chief Executive of the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion which brings together a range of responses to support vulnerable people and to help build resilient communities; including housing, disability and home care services and youth justice. Lois is an experienced executive who has influenced many areas of public policy including development, planning, mental health, equity, environment, child protection, further education and consumer affairs. In 2013, she was recognised by the Governor of South Australia and entered into the Women's Honour Roll.

Tammie Pribanic
Tammie is the Executive Director, Budget and Performance in the Department of Treasury and Finance.  Her team is responsible for coordinating the preparation of the State Budget, working closely with State Government agencies to provide advice to the Government on the fiscal implications of agency policy proposals as well as providing advice on the performance of government programs and financial performance of agencies.  Tammie’s team is also responsible for providing advice to the Government on taxation and GST grant revenue forecasts and intergovernmental and revenue policy issues.  Tammie has worked in a range of financial areas throughout her career, including in the financial markets section at the South Australian Government Financing Authority and on major government asset sales.  Tammie has a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Finance.  She has also been a board member of the Adelaide Festival Corporation and TAFE SA.

A light lunch, tea and coffee will be served on arrival. Both women and men are welcome to attend the event. Registrations are strictly limited so please book in early to avoid disappointment.
