Australasian Teaching Economics Conference (ATEC) - Women in Economics Session

Representatives of WEN will present a special session on the topic of "Gender imbalances in the economics profession: Implications for education" at the Australasian Teaching Economics Conference (ATEC), to be held at UTS Sydney from 6-7 July. The conference targets secondary and tertiary economics teachers, but all are welcome, including university students.

Our WEN presenters include:

  • Leith Thompson (Burwood Girls High School NSW) speaking about diversity, inclusion and engagement in secondary economics education
  • Rhian Bilclough (Melville Senior High School WA) speaking about engaging students into learning economics at high school
  • Pip Freebairn (NSW Chair of WEN) speaking about WEN's objectives, motivations and activities
