Rachel Ong is an ARC Future Fellow and Professor of Economics at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, Curtin University. She is a member of the Economic Society’s National Economic Panel and a steering committee member for the Asia-Pacific Network for Housing Research. Rachel is currently the Managing Editor of Australian Economic Papers. Her research addresses a range of subjects of economic and social policy relevance. She has published widely on housing issues, including the dynamics of housing affordability and housing pathways, the links between housing and economic outcomes, and intergenerational housing concerns. She has an established research record in the area of population ageing, including decisions surrounding labour force participation and housing asset management in later life.
