Principal Manager Benefits Realisation

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is changing the way it delivers infrastructure and services. They are evolving the way they conduct business to deliver an unprecedented program of capital works, digital innovation and improved customer experience for the people of NSW.

Reporting to the Director Evaluation and Assurance, a unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to shape, develop and deliver the strategic benefit management process for major capital investments.  You and your team will support the identification and the realisation of benefits from major investments across the entire Transport cluster.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain and promote a standard approach for benefit realisation management for all programmes across the cluster;
  • Provide financial, budgetary and economic tools, systems and advice to support benefits realisation;
  • Support senior staff to implement benefit accountability and delivery on commitments;
  • Promote, promulgate and champion benefits realisation as an integral part of how TfNSW delivers infrastructure and services;
  • Contribute to the development and management of project plans, budgets and risk management.

To be successful you will have a demonstrated track record in providing high quality strategic advice on major investment programmes, preferably around benefit realisation.  You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative work style, exceptional problem solving and insightful evaluation skills and experience, and a high capability to drive success. You will have an ability to manage change and deliver new approaches.  Exposure to transportation infrastructure is desirable but not essential.  Relevant work experience and tertiary qualifications will be mandatory.
