Deputy Chair of the Productivity Commission, Karen Chester, will join WEN Victoria on for an interactive Q&A audience discussion about her economics career experiences and insights.
This evening event will serve as WEN’s end-of-year Christmas Party, so in additional to professional discussion, be prepared for some festivity!
About the guest speaker
After completing her studies in economics at the University of Queensland, Karen’s economics career spans both the public and private sectors. This includes holding senior economic policy roles in the Australian Treasury and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, executive roles at Mercer, Access Capital Advisers and Access Economics, and director roles on several boards of Australian infrastructure companies. Karen was appointed a Commissioner with the Productivity Commission in December 2013 and Deputy Chair in May 2016. Karen also was recently invited to become a member of Chief Executive Women and a Committee Member of the Victorian Branch of the ESA.
