Cristina is a policy and financial markets professional with 35 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors. She is currently a Commissioner of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and a member of the Australian Energy Board. She is Australia’s Delegate to the OECD’s Network of Economic Regulators.
She has extensive experience in government policy across a range of areas including economic pricing for regulated entities, financial markets regulation, corporations law, central government debt management and industry policy. She has strong background in governance; strategic planning and budgeting; audit, risk management and compliance. Her public sector expertise is complemented by experience in the private sector in investment markets and superannuation fund activities. Cristina has had a portfolio of non-executive independent positions across a number of sectors
Cristina has degrees in economics and law and was awarded the UTS Faculty of Law Alumni Award for Excellence in 2016 and is a Mentor under the ACCC’s program, the international Women in Energy Program and the University of Notre Dame and UTS’s undergraduate mentor program.
